To install a FTP server use the following commands.

Installation

Linux

yum -y install vsftpd
systemctl enable vsftpd
systemctl start vsftpd

apt-get -y install vsftpd

A folder is created at /var/ftp/ which contains the location for FTPing.

To enable logging edit /etc/vsftpd/vsftpd.conf

# Activate logging of uploads/downloads.
xferlog_enable=YES
