To remove the ads displayed in uTorrent.

In explorer or your favourite file explorer go to the location 

%APPDATA%\uTorrent\updates


  • in this folder change folders with the latest version
  • delete or rename utorrentie.exe
  • create a new file with no content with the same filename utorrentie.exe
  • change the properties of the file to be read only


This procedure will need to be done after each time uTorrent upgrades itself.
