From KlavoWiki
To enable to play MKV files without installing any codec packs you need to do the following 3 items.
- Install ffdshow
- Gabest’s Matroska Splitters
- Reg Edit
ffdshow
Click here for the sourceforge ffdshow-tryout files. Select SVN builds by clsid and using either the generic builds or 64-bit builds.
