To preform a speed test form a Linux shell with no GUI using speedtest.net
Download Tool
wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/sivel/speedtest-cli/master/speedtest.py --no-check-certificate chmod a+rx speedtest.py mv speedtest.py /usr/local/bin/speedtest
Run
speedtest
List the 8 closest test servers.
speedtest --list | head -n 10
Speedtest against a specific server.
